Our History, Inspiration & Journey of Service

Education · Health · Spirituality

Established in 2008, built on service.

Sadguru Shri Baba Maharaj Rugnaseva Pratishthan, Dhule, is a socially committed voluntary organisation established in 2008.

For the past 18 years, the organisation has been continuously working in the three core areas of Education, Health and Spirituality.

Its geographical area of work extends across the State of Maharashtra. Through social, educational, healthcare and spiritual initiatives, the organisation strives for the holistic development of society.

Inspired by Sadguru Shri Baba Maharaj

The organisation was established under the inspiration of Sadguru Shri Baba Maharaj, who led a spiritual and social awareness movement in Dhule district, North Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

His teachings promoted humanity, service, moral values, righteous conduct and spiritual upliftment.

Inspired by his vision, the Pratishthan was established not only for spiritual awareness but also for the organised advancement of society through health, education and social development.

The organisation believes that holistic development of an individual and society is possible through a balance between physical health, knowledge and education, mental well-being and spiritual harmony.

Shri Somnath Kashinath Bhandari

President · Retired Tahsildar

The President of the Pratishthan is Shri Somnath Kashinath Bhandari, a retired Tahsildar from government service.

During his government career, he closely observed the problems faced by people from different sections of society.

He recognised the need to address lack of education and awareness, inadequate health knowledge, social challenges and the need for moral and positive values in society.

With his special interest in education and spirituality, he dedicated himself to promoting social awareness through these fields. Inspired by the teachings of Sadguru Shri Baba Maharaj, he played a key role in establishing and developing the organisation.

Service before financial gain.

Since its establishment, Shri Somnath Kashinath Bhandari has supported the organisation's social activities through his personal pension and other personal resources.

The organisation has consistently given priority to public welfare, social awareness and humanitarian service rather than financial gain.

Even with limited resources, continuous efforts have been made to bring about positive social change through education, healthcare and spirituality.

Late Smt. Kumudini Somnath Bhandari

The Founder Vice-President, Late Smt. Kumudini Somnath Bhandari, made significant contributions to spiritual awareness, women's empowerment and social inclusion.

She used religious and cultural festivals as platforms for spiritual awareness, women's education and empowerment, social awareness and promotion of moral and cultural values.

Through women's groups, Self-Help Groups, public Ganesh festivals, Navratri celebrations and Bhajan Mandals, she carried out extensive awareness programmes.

Spiritual programmes and experiments were also conducted through Akashvani, Jalgaon.

Spirituality connected with nature.

During the annual Vat Pournima celebrations, women were guided towards spiritual values in the midst of nature.

The celebrations were combined with tree plantation, tree conservation and environmental awareness.

Such programmes were organised in different parts of the city, promoting the message of harmony between spirituality, nature and social responsibility.

Creating awareness, confidence and inclusion.

Large women's gatherings were organised during festivals such as Makar Sankranti, Gauri-Ganpati, Hartalika, Vat Pournima and Navratri.

These gatherings served as platforms to discuss and address women's social and personal concerns.

  • Awareness about women's rights
  • Support in resolving social problems
  • Promotion of education and self-confidence
  • Assistance to widowed, deserted and socially disadvantaged women
  • Bringing illiterate and marginalised sections into the mainstream

Connected with the community.

The organisation works in collaboration with senior citizens' associations, social organisations, community-based organisations, educational institutions, schools and colleges, women's organisations, women's Self-Help Groups, government and social institutions, volunteers and other socially committed individuals.
